Privacy Policy

WeddingInWhites lets couples build and publish a wedding website, invite guests and collect RSVPs. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese.

Who we are

WeddingInWhites is operated from Kerala, India. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described below, write to support@weddinginwhites.com.

What we collect

Account details. Your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google — never your Google password.
Wedding content. Everything you enter to build your site: names, event dates, venues, your story, photographs and any other media you upload.
Guest details. Names, and where you provide them, email addresses and phone numbers of the guests you add, along with their RSVP responses.
Payment records. Order and payment status for plan upgrades. Card details are entered on Razorpay's systems and are never seen or stored by us.
Technical and audit logs. Standard server logs and a record of significant actions on your account, kept for security and troubleshooting.

Guest data is your responsibility too

When you upload a guest list you are sharing other people's personal information with us. You confirm that you have a legitimate reason to contact them about your wedding. We use guest details only to deliver your invitations and record RSVPs — never to market anything, and never for any other couple's site.

How we use your information

To create, host and publish your wedding website.
To send invitations and collect RSVPs on your behalf.
To process plan upgrades and keep a record of payment.
To send you service messages about your account, such as a payment receipt or a problem with your site.
To keep the service secure and diagnose faults.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photographs or guest lists to train machine learning models.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the product, each handling data on our instructions:

Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Razorpay — payment processing.
Resend — delivery of invitation and account emails.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Some of these providers operate outside India, so your information may be processed abroad under their own safeguards.

Anything you publish is public

A published wedding website is visible to anyone who has its address. Please think carefully before putting a home address or phone number on a public page. You can unpublish a site at any time from your dashboard, though search engines may keep a cached copy for a while afterwards.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and its content while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account we remove your sites, uploads and guest lists, except records we are required to retain — payment records in particular are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw consent for optional processing at any time. Write to support@weddinginwhites.com and we will respond within 30 days. Most content can also be edited or deleted directly from your dashboard.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

The service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly create accounts for children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you by email if the change is significant.
